ABRUPT DEMISE, MACERATION and four other new bands
We are Czech Death Fest, so the second batch of bands revolves around our key genre. It features a brutal offering from the Netherlands, a tribute to the Nordic style from Denmark, and there’s no shortage of both modern and old-school sounds.
In our last update, we announced one of the headliners, KATAKLYSM. We’re now expanding the festival’s death metal backbone, ensuring every branch of this rich genre is covered.
The first bands to be announced are KATAKLYSM, TORTHARRY and GUTALAX
Before you read about the first bands, we’d like to thank YOU for the tremendous support and understanding you showed following the premature end to last year’s festival, which was unfortunately cut short by a combination of three local storms. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, so we all will meet up again at Broďák. THANK YOU to all of you.
Your solidarity in the wake of the devastating storm that hit us on Saturday continues unabated. Word has reached the guys at Lowland Fest in Hungary, and they have a great offer for you: if you show your ticket or wristband from MGCDF 2026 at the entrance, they’ll let you into their festival for free. Thank you, don’t hesitate!

It’s the day after the festival, and we haven’t yet had time to reply to all of your messages individually, but one question keeps coming up: “I’d like to support your festival. If I don’t get a refund for the balance on my chip, will you keep it?” The answer is simple: YES, the unrefunded balance goes to the festival.
You’re incredible, and THANK YOU so much for your solidarity and support!
Refunds for NFCTron are now available and will continue for the next two weeks. https://support.nfctron.com/en/article/how-to-get-your-remaining-credit-back-nfctron
