OMEGA DIATRIBE, who skillfully blend groove metal and djent, are the second Hungarian band on the festival lineup, and with their progressive, modern sound, they are sure to be not only a refreshing article but also a treat for musicians.
Since their formation in 2008, they have released five albums (the second one was recorded by drummer Kevin Talley), and because they realize that this genre requires a heavy and massive sound, they collaborated with Tue Madsen (Antfarm Studios) on their last three albums and also enlisted the services of Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios).
Their polyrhythmic metal, built on heavy, meaty riffs and groovy rhythms and interwoven with atmosphere, explores the infinite potential of the human mind and is bearing fruit. Not only have the Hungarians already performed at the prestigious progressive Euroblast festival, but they’ve also won domestic awards for “Best Album” and “Best Live Band,” which attests to how intense and sonically and instrumentally precise their concerts are.
